I love the spring collection from WARMI. Created by French-Colombian designer Sylvia Toth in 2008, the WARMI brand blends tradition with modernity by interpreting Latin American folk craftsmanship with a European flair. The collections are entirely hand crafted by women weavers of the villages of Tausa and Sutatausa in Colombia. Each handmade item is numbered and signed by the artisan that made it. Traditional techniques come alive, with close attention paid to detail in this meticulous work. The result is a collection where each unique piece has a particular aura, charged with the soul of the weavers, and exuding the essence of a valuable object.
